Student Book Clubs

The Wadsworth Public Library is proud to offer book clubs in collaboration with the Wadsworth City Schools as well as a Homeschool Book Club. Our homeschool book club meets at the Library, while all other book clubs listed are held at your student’s school. Students participating in the Wadsworth City School partnership book clubs will receive a permission slip from their school at the beginning of the school year. A Wadsworth Public Library card in good standing is required to receive books for any club. For more information, please call or visit the Children’s Services Department.

Homeschool Book Club

Homeschool Book Club is open to homeschool students of all ages. Books will be selected based on the ages and interests of the participating students. Our Homeschool Book Club typically meets once per quarter at 2pm from September through May. Students will need a Wadsworth Public Library card in good standing to receive books for this club.

Caldecott Club

Caledecott Club celebrates picture books that have been recognized as the most distinguished American picture books, earning a Randolph Caldecott honor or award medal. This club is open to students in first and second grade at participating schools. Information and permission slips will be sent home with students. Caldecott Club typically meets at 8am once per month from October through April.

Book Markers Club

Book Markers Club reads a variety of juvenile fiction and is open to students in third and fourth grade at participating schools. Information and permission slips will be sent home with students. Book Markers Club typically meets at 8am once per month from October through May. Students will need a Wadsworth Public Library card in good standing to receive books for this club.

Pizza and Pages - Intermediate School

Pizza and Pages Book Club reads a variety of juvenile fiction books and is open to students in fifth and sixth grade at Wadsworth Intermediate School. Information and permission slips will be sent home with students. Pizza and Pages typically meet after school once per month from October through May. Pizza is generously provided by Wadsworth Intermediate School. Students will need a Wadsworth Public Library card in good standing to receive books for this club.

Middle School Book Club

Middle School Book Club Book Club reads a variety of fiction books and is open to students in seventh and eighth grade at Wadsworth Middle School. Information and permission slips will be sent home with students. This club typically meets after school once per month from October through May.  Students will need a Wadsworth Public Library card in good standing to receive books for this club.
