Get a Library Card

Library cards are free for all residents of the State of Ohio. A valid photo ID in the form of a driver's license or State ID is required along with proof of current address (if not listed on your photo ID). Proof of address must be a utility bill, lease agreement, or other comparable document. Library cards must be applied for in-person at this time. However, you are welcome to download and print your application below.

Personal Library Card

Patrons can borrow up to 50 total items. Your library card also allows you to borrow e-books and other downloadable content, stream video and music, gain remote access to databases and electronic services, use public computers and free printing, to name a few of our services. The card can only be used, and the account can only be accessed by the named cardholder.

Teacher Library Card

Ohio educators have the opportunity to obtain a Teacher Card. A Teacher Library Card will be issued to any teacher upon request. If the teacher is currently registered for a personal library card, it must be in good standing. Upon determination of eligibility for a Teacher Loan library card, any existing personal library card will be changed to a Teacher Card. The teacher card application must be signed by the teacher’s building administrator. In the case of a home school educator, the individual must present a copy of the “excused from school attendance” letter received from the appropriate school district superintendent. Materials on teacher cards have a 30 day loan period.

Juvenile Library Card with Restrictions

The juvenile library card with optional format restrictions allows the parent or legal guardian of a minor child to restrict their child's access to library content.
