The Friends of Wadsworth Public Library raises funds to support Library programs and operations through its popular biannual book sales, membership drives and other fund raising activities.
You can support the work of the Friends by donating gently used books, movies, and compact discs or by making a financial donation. Money raised by the Friends is especially vital to the library's annual summer reading program which is strongly focused on early literacy for children and continuity of reading development for older youth.
In addition to donating books and joining the Friends, you can also give of your time. Our biannual book sales are powered by the hard work of dedicated volunteers. Behind the scenes preparation for our book sales is ongoing, all year long. Contact the Friends today to find out how you can start volunteering now.

The Friends of WPL are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help with the group's book sales. This includes sorting books, stocking book store shelves and working the book sales. We take great care to ensure that we’re being good stewards with the items that you donate. Upon receipt, our volunteers sort through all donations. We review the items for condition, value, and desirability. Books are sorted by genre and by author while other media is sorted by type, artist, title, etc. Because we aim to keep items at our sale affordable and because we want to be sure to get the maximum return from items with high value, a very small percentage of items are sold online. These items may include textbooks, very rare books, out of print audio/video and technology. (You can see what we’re selling online at any particular time by clicking here.) All other items are organized on shelves in the sale room in anticipation of our spring and fall sales. Our volunteers spend countless hours on all the tasks involved in these processes so that we are able to deliver sales that are packed with variety at very affordable prices. If you have any questions about the donation process or to schedule a donation please call the library at (330) 334-5761 or email friends@wadsworthlibrary.com.
