2020 Virtual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Wadsworth Public Library is holding the 10th annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest a little differently. This year it will be virtual! Please see all of the rules below and send us a photo of your decorated pumpkin to enter.

Rules and Guidelines

You may decorate your pumpkin anyway you like as long as it is appropriate for viewing by all ages and free of profanity or otherwise inappropriate content. Wadsworth Public Library reserves the right to decide what constitutes inappropriate content.

Photographs (limit of 2) of your entry must be emailed to  between October 12–21. All entries must include Name(s), Age Category, Title of Submission, and a short description of the submission.

All photos must be the original work of the entrants.

Group projects must be placed in the category of the oldest participant. Please note that a team will compete for a single prize.

Photographs will be displayed on the WPL website and Facebook page October 26–30 for voting. Each Facebook like will count as one vote. The entry with the most votes will win People’s Choice.

Winners will be announced and prizes will be available for pickup at the Library the following week. 

Owners retain the copyright to their photographs. By entering the contest, photographers agree to have their photograph displayed on the Library’s website or social media without any fee or other form of compensation.

Wadsworth Public Library employees and their immediate family are able to enter but not eligible to win.

Adult (19+)

Prizes Awarded

1st Place in each age category (chosen by votes through our website and Facebook post)

Prizes for all age groups will be books and candy.
