2024 Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Wadsworth Public Library is holding the 14th annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest during the Main Street Wadsworth Scare on the Square event October 17, 2024.

Contest Guidelines: 

• Entries must be dropped off on October 16 or 17 at the Wadsworth Public Library (no later than 4pm on October 17).
• Pumpkins must be submitted with an entry form. Entry forms can be picked up at the Library.
• Pumpkins should be picked up at the Library immediately following the contest (7:30pm on October 17). The Library reserves the right to dispose of any pumpkin that is not collected at that time.
• Objects, paper, and materials of any kind may be pinned, glued, or attached to pumpkins.
• Pumpkins can be carved, painted, or decorated in any way.
• No electrical devices or open flames may be used.
• Pumpkins must be appropriate for viewing by all ages, free from profanity or otherwise inappropriate content.
• Wadsworth Public Library staff members and their immediate family are welcome to enter creations for exhibition but are not eligible to win prizes.

Prizes:

Pumpkins will be on display from 5–7pm during the Scare on the Square event on October 17. Anyone may vote for their favorite pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded for each category winner: Birth - 11, Teen 12-18, Adult 19+, and one for best in show.
