Read To Therapy Dogs!
Reading is a fundamental skill that gives children the tools to gain knowledge and develop new skills. Reading aloud helps children develop phonetic awareness by encouraging them to sound out the words on the page. This makes a connection between their understood vocabulary and their spoken vocabulary.

Tales & Tails is attended by trained therapy dogs and their owners who set up in the Children's Activity Room. Children can sit on the floor and read to one (or more!) of the dogs. Dogs make great listeners!
