Literature and World War II - Literature Series
June 4 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
World War II transformed the United States from a country decimated by the Great Depression to one flourishing under a bright sun of invention and commerce. Travel, television, and consumerism gave everyday people the opportunity to see the world in a new light. Despite the idyllic life presented through advertisements, a generation of writers and artists were looking at their surroundings, unfiltered and unflinching. Join us for this new series as we explore how literature and art blossomed fearlessly in an age of conflict. This series is meant to be an engaging, open discussion and not a lecture, so please bring your views and share. These topics are open to all ages.
