Live at the Library - Cliff Habian Trio: Tunes from the American Songbook

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Wadsworth Public Library continue Concerts in the Courtyard with the Cliff Habian Trio in a program entitled: "Tunes from the American Songbook."
The program takes place in the Wadsworth Public Library Courtyard, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281. In the event of rain, the concert will take place in the library community room. Registration is recommended at www.ormaco.org. For more information call 419-853-6016.
Cliff Habian attended Cleveland Institute of Music as a composition major. He then accepted a position as Director of American Music and Department Head of Kayboard Studies at The Cleveland Music School Settlement where he taught for 13 years. He has worked with such greats as Joe Lovano, Freddie Cole, Frank Morgan, Jane Ira Bloom, Trent Reznor (NIN), Freddy Cole, Wayne Newton and Bobby Vinton, Dion and many others. He has appeared on "Good Morning America" and has opened for such jazz legends as Mel Lewis and Dave Brubeck. He has performed for many celebrities ranging from Wilt Chamberlain to Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, Hal Holbrook and Larry King.
Jeff Slater has become one of the most sought-after bassists in North-East Ohio in recent years after returning from living in NYC and Europe. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and French Horn at Baldwin-Wallace University and did master’s work in music theory and bass performance at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Truman State University. Jeff doubles on electric and upright bass and is well versed in numerous styles of Jazz, R&B, Rock, Pop and World Music.
Eric Everett has nearly four decades of drumming experience, studying privately at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory and performing in Case Western Reserve University’s small group Jazz and Big Band ensembles under Paul Ferguson. At CWRU, he participated in the Tri-C Jazz Fest and was a member of Cleveland 90s bands, Public Library and Five Minutes Fast. He has been a contributing writer for several percussion industry publications, including DrumHead Magazine. Eric currently performs in the Firelands Trio, Elation band and the George Foley Quartet.
