Dressed to Kill: The American Doughboy in WWI

January 9 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

World War I marked a transition period for the American Soldier. As the United States struggled to raise the largest army in its history, the individual American soldier went "Over There" with a combination of the latest military technology and some equipment that had changed little since the Civil War. Join Eric Rivet, Chief Curator at the Western Reserve Historical Society, for a discussion of the World War I doughboy and get an opportunity to handle original and reproduction uniforms and field gear from World War I.
