Updated COVID Measures

In response to the lifting of Ohio Department of Health orders, the following updated COVID-19 measures have been developed by Library leadership with the critical input of our public and staff, and the guidance and authorization of the Medina County Health Department.

Operating Hours

Monday–Thursday: 9am–9pm
Friday–Saturday: 9am–6pm
Sunday: 1–5pm

General

If you are sick or exhibiting symptoms, stay home and seek medical advice. Patrons exhibiting symptoms are not permitted in the building.

Occupancy

Pandemic occupancy limits have been lifted and we have reverted to fire code. Patron visits are no longer limited by time.

Masks

Masks are optional for all patrons and staff, regardless of age. (amended 7/6/2021)

Social Distancing

Please maintain social distancing between yourself and other parties, whenever possible. Our staff make every effort to do the same.

Hand Sanitization

Sanitization stations are located throughout the building. Please utilize them as needed. Our staff frequently wash or sanitize their hands and wipe down surfaces.

Circulation

Quarantine of Returns

We no longer quarantine recently returned items. Your returned items will usually be checked in and cleared off your account within 4-6 hours.

Late Fees

The Library will remain fine-free until further notice. Any late charges which appear on your account for items borrowed through OhioLINK will be manually removed by staff upon request. Please note that this does not apply to bills for replacement of lost or damaged items.

Returns

Patrons may now return items directly to our staff at the drive-up window and circulation desks.

Home Delivery

Patrons living within the boundaries of the Wadsworth City School District are eligible for free home delivery and pick-up of library materials.

Facilities & Equipment

Seating and General Purpose Tables

A limited number of armchairs and tables have been reintroduced for reading, study and other general needs. These will be disinfected regularly throughout the day.

Meeting and Study Rooms

You may now reserve meeting and study rooms under pre-COVID-19 policies and conditions with one exception: food and beverages are prohibited with the exception of water in a sealable container.

Play Area

The early literacy play area is now open without restriction. 

Computers

A limited number of public access computers are available in the periodical area. Two 15-minute express computer stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Food and Beverages

Water in a sealable container is permitted throughout the building. However, food and beverages remain prohibited.

Surface Sanitization

Our staff frequently disinfect high touch surfaces, including but not limited to tables, counters, chairs, doors and handrails.
