Wadsworth Public Library holding summer Pop-Up Libraries in the Parks

For immediate release:

On Thursday, June 10, Wadsworth Public Library will visit Memorial Park at 274 Grandview Avenue for its first pop-up library of the summer season. In partnership with the City of Wadsworth, the Library will be visiting a variety of city parks with a small collection of circulating materials.

“We are excited to partner with our city parks to bring the Library out into the community this summer,” said Nicole Moore, Library Deputy Director. “Our traveling collection will consist of new and popular books for children, teens, and adults, as well as much loved classic titles.”

The Pop-Up Libraries in the Parks will be held on Thursdays, June 10 - August 12, from 10am to noon. For a full schedule, visit www.wadsworthlibrary.com/pop-up-libraries.

In addition to checking out books, visitors to the pop-up libraries will also be able to register for a Library card, sign up for Summer Reading Club, and more. “Our Summer Reading Club is designed to encourage children to read all summer long to avoid the summer slide,” continued Moore. “We are happy to offer opportunities for children to combine reading with active play and nature.” Summer Reading Club runs through July 31. All ages are welcome. To learn more, visit www.wadsworthlibrary.com/src.
