Wadsworth Public Library to open registration for Summer Reading Club on May 24

For immediate release:

Wadsworth Public Library is inviting the community to Read Around the World this summer with its annual Summer Reading Club program. Registration opens Monday, May 24, 2021 and the program begins Monday, June 7.

This year, Summer Reading Club will take readers of all ages on globe-trotting adventures as they explore the Amazon Rainforest, China, the Philippines, Australia, and other exciting destinations through books, crafts, and games. While most programs remain virtual, Summer Reading Club will see the return of limited in-person programming outside in the Library courtyard.

Readers can participate in-person at the Library or online with the Wandoo Reader app. Wadsworth Public Library has clubs for babies, kids, teens, and adults, so everyone can participate and win prizes. The program runs through Saturday, July 31.

Summer Reading Club is a great opportunity for students of all ages to continue sharpening their minds during the break from school. Encouraging children to read every day throughout the summer is the best way to avoid the risk of the summer slide. Visit www.wadsworthlibrary.com/src for more information.

Wadsworth Public Library is open Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday-Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 1-5pm. Masks are required for patrons ages 10 and older. Drive-up and home delivery services will continue. Visits are no longer time limited, and seating, study tables, and meeting and study rooms are now available. Visit www.wadsworthlibrary.com/covid-19 or call (330) 334-5761 to learn more about what to expect when you visit the Library.
