THANK YOU!
Thank you for being such great advocates for Ohio’s public libraries! Your calls and emails to your state representatives have had a positive impact – nearly all members of the General Assembly have issued statements of support. Now, we must support them as they continue to struggle with crafting a balanced state budget in this difficult economy. We will keep you updated as we learn more about the next state budget and funding for libraries.

Author Visit: Cinda Williams Chima 7/7 @ 7pm
That's right! The author of the popular Heir series (The Warrior Heir, The Wizard Heir, and The Dragon Heir) is coming to the library on July 7th. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the books, learn about writing, and hear about her new book coming out this fall, The Demon King.

Get Creative @ Yr Library! (and maybe win a Zune)
The theme for our teen summer reading program is GET CREATIVE @ YR LIBRARY. In that spirit, we want YOU to be on the look out for creativity in the books you read, movies you watch, cd's you listen to, and video games you play. Every time you go online and share your experience with us you will be eligible to win a Zune Mp3/Video player as well as other prizes.

Click on the Teen Summer Reading Program tab on the left hand side to enter!

What's New ?!?

Ever wonder what new dvd's, books, graphic novels & cd's the library has gotten? Now there is a way you can find out. We have these things called Featured Lists that will automatically show the newest additions to certain sections of our collection. Just visit http://www.wadsworthlibrary.com/main/about_us.cfm?page_id=143 and then open up the list you want to see to find out what's new - it's an easy way to see what the latest volume of Bleach we have in or if we have the new cd's by your favorite bands.

Spring Guitar Hero Tournament Winners

Congrats to to the winners of our Spring GH3 tournament: Joe in the expert division and Frank in the medium division!

T.A.B. April Fool's Party!

What better way to celebrate making it through another nasty, gloomy winter than by acting like a bunch of April Fools? Our Teen Advisory Board ushered in Spring by enjoying some stupid fun like Duck Duck Grey Duck, Toilet Paper Mummies (Fastest Mummy pictured), and the TP war to end all TP wars. Check out the LOFT MySpace to see a bunch more pics from the party!

Food Fear Factor 2008 Champion Crowned

OMG! I am in AWE of the teens of Wadsworth! We had 16 folks compete in the Food Fear Factor contest, and every one of them is a braver soul than I. There were 6 culinary challenges our contestants had to eat, from pearl onions rolled in wasabi powder to chipotle peppers smothered in chile relish, and many teens made it through several rounds. Only one competitor, however, was able to finish our Breakfast of Champions Master Challenge: a bowl of Raisin Bran with Snails & Anchovies. That young man is our Food Fear Factor Champion of 2008; all hail the iron stomach of Jamal Starcher!
