Services

Are you making use of all the services that the Wadsworth Public Library has to offer? Check out the descriptions below and see what you might be missing:

Book Drops
Make use of our book drops when returning items after hours. Pull into the west parking lot to access our convenient drive-up book drop or use the walk-up drop that faces Broad Street.

Buehler's Drop Off Site
You can return your library books while you are doing your grocery shopping! Library materials may be returned at the book drop in Buehler's at 175 Great Oaks Trail, right near Interstate 76.

Business Resources
Our reference librarians can help you find information about companies within the many available business resources and our online reference databases. Some things they can help you find are:

  • Company Profiles
Want to get information on a company in the area? Our reference librarians can help you research publicly listed company information.
  • Investment References
Get background information on stocks and companies before making that investment.
  • Directories
There are many directories of businesses and business services available online and in print form. Our reference librarians can help point you to them.
Catalog Instruction
If you need help accessing our online catalog, our librarians will be happy to teach you all about it. Our catalog is more than just a list of books and media. It contains customer reviews, links to reference materials, listings for materials available at other libraries in the Search Ohio consortium, and much, much more. Just ask for help, and we will be happy to show you around.

Community Partnerships
The Wadsworth Public Library works to ensure strong connections to the Wadsworth community.
  • A+ Partners in Education
A partnership with the Wadsworth City School System that expands educational opportunities and enhances the academic achievement of each student.
  • Golden Access Partnership
A partnership between the Wadsworth Public Library and the Wadsworth Center for Older Adults serves to inform, educate, and enlighten the senior population of the Wadsworth area.
Credit Card Payment Of Fees/Fines
You may pay fines by credit card, right from our self-serve checkout stations. Just choose the “Pay fines” option, and swipe your card through the card reader.

Digital Device Collection
The Wadsworth Public Library's digital device collection, made possible by a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and awarded by the State Library of Ohio, includes a wide array of devices that may be borrowed for home use. The collection includes Kindle and Nook ereaders, iPads, iPods, portable DVD players, GPS units, language translators, digital voice recorders, Flip video cameras, digital projectors, ELMO 3-dimensional projectors, MP3 players, and digital picture frames. Items in the collection circulate for two weeks. Apply at the Customer Service Desk to borrow these items.

Drive Up Window
At the drive-up window (located on the west side of the building) you may return items, pick up reserves, and pay small fines. You can even pick up holds there if you call ahead to the Circulation Department at 330-334-5761. Note that the drive-up window is available during regular hours, but closes 15 minutes before the Library.
