How to Hobo- Tween Scene
January 11 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Go back in time and learn what life was like in the 1930’s, a time when food and jobs were scarce, and boys and men called “hoboes” ruled the rails. Unlike tramps or bums, hoboes were hard-working people who made traveling to find work an adventure. You will learn about the “hobo code”, make a hobo bindle (hobo stick), and learn the secret markings they used to communicate with each other.
