Music and Movement
in Meeting Room A
In line with our strategic priority to secure early literacy and cultivate lifelong readers in Wadsworth, we are embarking upon some exciting changes in our children's area on the second floor of the Library.
We are currently in the process of developing bid documentation with CBLH Architects of Cleveland and Ruhlin Company of Sharon Center for modifications that will increase floor space for interactive learning and family engagement within the Library.
The project will involve three major elements:
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the spring of 2017 and will take approximately 2 to 3 months from ground-breaking to completion. A temporary rerouting of main entrance traffic is anticipated at some point during the phase when a floor is added in the current vestibule area.
Funding for the project, which is currently estimated at approximately $250,000, will come from a significant donation of 50% or more from the Wadsworth Public Library Foundation. The remaining costs will come from the Library's capital fund.
